Keep the parts of the web you enjoy. Filter out the rest.

ClarityFilter filters unwanted page content without blocking entire websites. Add words or phrases you’d rather avoid, then choose Hide, Blur, or Pixelate.

KEY FEATURES

• Filter by terms
Filter articles, feed items, and comments mentioning your chosen words or phrases.

• Block this section
Select a distracting sidebar, shelf, or widget. Choose an action, optionally name it, and save directly on the page. Undo is available immediately after saving.

• Manage saved sections
Search, rename, pause, resume, remove, and change actions. Sections follow your selected action by default, with optional per-section overrides.

• Proper pixelation
Obscure matching content using opaque, source-colored pixel blocks. Blur and Pixelate preserve the item’s layout.

• Understand and control filtering
Click the compact Filtered badge to see why an item was filtered, show it once, or edit its rule.

• Block specific images
Right-click an image to block its exact URL. This does not recognize objects or subjects inside pictures.

• Site exceptions and backups
Exclude sites from filtering. Export and import your rules, including saved sections.

• Optional PIN protection
Require a PIN for protected changes and revealing filtered items. This provides extra friction; it is not parental-control security.

PRIVACY

Filtering runs in your browser. The extension contains no developer-operated analytics, advertising, or content-upload service.

Settings use browser sync storage with a local backup. Your browser account may sync them between devices. Exported backups omit PIN credentials.

PRACTICAL LIMITS

Websites change, so some selections may need adjustment. Section rules apply to the exact hostname and require one safe, unique matching element. The picker cannot select inside embedded frames or closed shadow DOM.

ClarityFilter changes what is displayed; it does not block network requests or access to websites. Large rule lists are subject to browser storage and matching limits.

Desktop Firefox is tested. Android compatibility has not been verified.
