Return YouTube Dislike restores the ability to see dislikes on YouTube.

ABOUT THE NEW DATA COLLECTION PROMPT
Firefox has introduced a way for extensions to declare the data they send, using a fixed list of categories. Since version 4.0.6 declared RYD's data, Firefox asks existing users to approve four of them before updating: "Personally identifying information", "Browsing activity", "Website content" and "Website activity".

RYD hasn't changed how it handles your data. What changed is how Mozilla labels it. The category names are broad, so an extension that only works on YouTube can look like it watches everything you do. WHAT EACH LABEL MEANS FOR RYD
- Personally identifying information: a randomly generated user ID, used to count votes. It isn't derived from or linked to your Google or YouTube account.
- Browsing activity: when you open a YouTube video, the extension sends its video ID to fetch the dislike count.
- Website content: things like the visible like count, which helps estimate dislikes.
- Website activity: your Like or Dislike click, which counts as your vote. You can turn vote submission off in the extension's settings.
- Authentication information (optional): used only if you choose to sign in with Patreon or GitHub.

RYD's site permissions cover only YouTube and its own API at returnyoutubedislikeapi.com. It doesn't read other websites, and these site permissions can't be used to access them.

Starting December 13th 2021, YouTube removed the ability to see dislikes from their API. This extension aims to restore power to users by using a combination of archived like and dislike data, as well as the likes and dislikes made by extension users to show the most accurate ratings. The more users that use the extension, the more accurate it will be. Unpopular videos uploaded after December 13th, 2021 may have less accurate data shown than more popular videos.
