Video Transcript turns the captions and subtitle tracks a video page already
offers into searchable text in Firefox's sidebar.
Open it from Firefox's Extensions menu while you are on a video page. It reads
the page only after you invoke it.

There is no account, no analytics or advertising, no remote code, and no
backend run by the developer. Your transcripts and preferences stay in
Firefox. The extension asks for page access only for the media page or caption
origin you select.
