This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All settings are saved locally via browser.storage. The only outbound network requests are:
1. tikwm.com — only when you click download, to resolve the media URL.
2. tiktok.com product/video pages — only when the product viewer is enabled, to extract public product metadata.
No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party tracking.

- storage — remember your settings and custom EQ bands.
- tabs — detect when other tabs start audio (for auto-pause).
- alarms — keep the background script responsive.
- downloads — save videos/MP3s/images to your Downloads folder.
- declarativeNetRequest — rewrite User-Agent to mobile for TikTok Shop product pages so product metadata can be parsed (same approach Chrome devtools would use).
- host_permissions for tiktok.com and tikwm.com — required for every feature above.
