Find the right tab faster with custom titles and icons. Give a work dashboard a short label or name a document after your project. Save a URL rule to apply that title and icon automatically when you visit a matching page.

• Match exact URLs, prefixes, suffixes, text, or regular expressions.
• Import and export rules for backup and reuse.
• Get optional AI title suggestions using TRW AI or your own OpenAI, Gemini, or compatible provider.
Privacy and optional services
Local renaming works without a Tab Rename Wiz account. Rules and saved icons are stored locally; browser-native same-brand sync can also synchronize them where supported. Cross-brand account sync is off until you explicitly turn on Sync rules across browsers in Advanced. Starting with version 4.3.0, this optional Pro feature uploads saved URL-matching rules, custom titles and supported custom icons to your Tab Rename Wiz account so Chrome, Edge and Firefox can merge the same collection. Browser-native same-brand sync remains a separate option where supported.
Turning account sync off stops further syncing; it does not erase the local rule collection. If you switch accounts in the same browser profile while sync stays on, that shared local collection can merge with the newly signed-in account.
Optional AI, account access, image URL imports and account rule sync require Firefox native data-sharing permissions. You can deny or revoke these permissions in Firefox; local renaming remains available.
TRW AI sends titles, URLs, prompts and request identifiers to our service with account authentication. Our backend uses AiHubMix for generation and keeps generation/request records. Hosted AI requires an account and available quota.
BYOK sends your API key and processed prompts directly to your selected provider, not to Tab Rename Wiz. URL or page-description content is included when your prompt template uses it. Image URL import contacts the image address you enter without account credentials.
