Shorty turns long videos and long pages into a summary you can read in a minute.

WHAT IT DOES

• Summarize a YouTube video: a Summarize button appears on the video player. One click opens the summary on aishorty.com.
• Summarize the page you are on: open the Shorty toolbar popup on any web page and choose "Summarize this page".
• Open the summary to ask: opens the same summary page on aishorty.com, which has a Shorty Brain chat panel. Full chat there needs a Shorty sign-in (guests get summaries only), and the panel is not preloaded with the page you came from.
• Convert a file: pick the format you have and the format you want in the popup, and Shorty opens the matching converter page.
• Pick a summary language from 35 options; the extension remembers your choice.

HOW IT WORKS

Shorty does not read or send anything until you press a button. When you do, it opens aishorty.com in a new tab with the link to the video or page, and the summary happens there. The extension makes no network requests of its own and holds no account or API key. Sign in on aishorty.com if you want to keep your summaries in your library.

PRIVACY

• The extension reads the address of the current tab only when you open the popup, and sends it to aishorty.com only when you press Summarize or Open summary to ask.
• A web page's address is sent as it is, including its query string (the part after "?"). Only a username and password in the address and the "#" fragment are removed first, so a page whose address carries a token in the query will send that token. YouTube videos send only the video id.
• The in-player Summarize button is hidden on private and unlisted videos.
• It stores one setting on your device: your preferred summary language.
