Modern Reddit is a catch-22: too much good info to ignore, too much algorithm BS and attempts at behavior manipulation to tolerate.

Sheddit turns back the clock and gives you the old.reddit.com layout without login requirements, for free, forever. It re-renders modern Reddit into the efficient and readable layout you grew to love -- on the fly, in real time -- as you browse. It works on the page you already loaded. There are no API calls, no login, no account, and no server in the middle.

0.64.1 tidies a deleted row: it drops the edit and reply links that could no longer do anything. 0.64.0 filled in the signed-in basics: delete your own comments and posts, edit your own text posts, hide posts with Reddit's own hide (with undo), see unread notifications in the header, open your saved, upvoted, downvoted and hidden tabs, and see the comments you already voted on lit. It also fixes three signed-in bugs: a comment's vote arrow could vote on one of its replies instead, markdown in a reply arrived as literal characters, and a reply Reddit refused was reported as possibly posted. It builds on 0.63.0, a major bug fix for signed-in readers. Saving a reply or comment used to open Reddit's own, almost blank page with your text re-typed into its box, and you had to press post a second time. Replies and comments now post straight from Sheddit's box in about a second — top-level comments, replies to other people and replies to your own comments. Updating is strongly recommended. It also carries 0.62.1's fix for a long post's "Read more", 0.62.0's user flair (signed-in readers only — Reddit no longer sends flair to logged-out visitors), and 0.61.0's important fix for threads that could silently leave out the OP's text or photo. If you install from source or a download zip, update your copy and reload the extension.
