简介

HLS Player opens HTTP Live Streaming (.m3u8) links directly in Firefox instead of downloading them. It offers Seamless mode, optional native video controls, and Display / Ratio settings (Best fit, Fill, Original, Native, 16:9, and 4:3).

The new on-screen Stream Info panel displays live diagnostics including resolution, codec (when provided), displayed FPS, dropped frames, quality level, downloaded bytes, measured fragment throughput with a compact 30-second chart, buffer ahead, and live latency (when available). Toggle it using the info icon or the I key; click outside or press Escape to close.

Playback uses Firefox's native HLS support when available and otherwise the bundled hls.js library. The add-on requires no account and includes no analytics, remote code, or developer-operated service.

Automatic Stream Recovery detects playback stalls and attempts to restore the live stream automatically. If restarting the playback pipeline does not help, the player performs a limited number of page reloads to resume interrupted webcams without manual intervention.
