Filmazon Speed Test EN

Filmazon Speed Test is a companion for the Filmazon website (filmazon.host). On a movie or series page, the site has a "Speed test" button that checks how fast each download server is from YOUR connection, so you can pick the fastest one. Some servers cannot be tested by a web page alone (cross-origin, http, certificate limits). This extension tests those servers for the page.

What it does
- Only when you press the test button on a Filmazon movie/series page, it downloads a few seconds of each server's file (a plain GET request) and stops immediately. It reports only the measured speed class, a file size or a broken-link code back to the page.
- Every site is verified first: the extension asks the site for a digitally signed answer (ECDSA, public key built into the extension) and works only on sites that pass. Any other website gets no access and cannot even detect the extension.
- It never tests private or local addresses.

Privacy
- No data is collected, stored on a server, or sent to the developer. No analytics, no tracking, no ads.
- It does not read your history, cookies, other tabs or page content.
- Network requests: (1) a random one-time code to the Filmazon site you are on, to verify it; (2) the short speed-test downloads from Filmazon's download servers, which see your IP address like any download.

Permissions
- Access to all websites: Filmazon's download servers are many and change over time, so the extension must be allowed to connect to them. Only plain GET requests are made, and only after you press the test button on a verified site.
- dns: to refuse download-server names that secretly point to private network addresses.
- storage: to remember for 24 hours which Filmazon domains passed verification.
