WHY ADS DON'T SLIP THROUGH
Facebook doesn't put the word "Sponsored" in the page. It builds the label out of dozens of single-letter fragments with decoys mixed in, so a plain text search finds nothing. This extension reads the label the way you do — by what is actually drawn on screen — so ads are identified reliably even though the text isn't really there.

Facebook also builds each post moments before it reaches your screen, which is why ad blockers often let one flash past mid-scroll. No-flash mode holds a post blank for a fraction of a second until it has been checked, then reveals it. Nothing is ever held longer than 1.5 seconds.

PRIVACY
No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no data collection of any kind. Nothing ever leaves your browser. Your settings sync through Firefox's own account sync and nowhere else. The extension only runs on facebook.com.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Facebook changes its markup regularly. If something stops being hidden, turn on Debug mode: instead of hiding posts, the extension outlines and labels everything it detected, so it's obvious whether detection has broken or a rule is too broad.
