Crypto Tab replaces Firefox's New Tab page with your chosen cryptocurrency's price in USD, a historical chart, and a clock. It's free, lightweight, and open source. Open a tab, check the price, and get on with your day.

Choose the cryptocurrency you follow

Select Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), BNB, XRP, Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE), Hedera (HBAR), or Ambire Wallet (WALLET). Crypto Tab displays one selected asset at a time. Switch assets from the token picker whenever you want a different view.

See the price in context

Explore six chart periods: the past hour, day, week, month, year, or all available history. Hover over the chart to inspect individual prices.

Prices update automatically while the page is visible. If a refresh fails, previously cached prices can remain on screen with an indication that the data is out of date.

Make your New Tab page feel familiar

• Follow your system theme by default, or choose light or dark.
• Customize the chart and interface accent color.
• Set your own colors for price increases and decreases.
• See a rocket when your selected token gains at least 5% over 24 hours. Preview Celebration Mode or turn it off in Customize.
• Follow your regional clock format by default, or choose 12-hour or 24-hour time.
• Available in English, Bulgarian, German, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Slovenian, and Serbian. Follow your browser language by default or choose one in Customize.
• Keep your selected asset, chart period, and preferences for your next visit.

Preference changes are shared between open Crypto Tab tabs in the same browser profile. Settings are stored locally on your device.

Privacy and permissions

Crypto Tab works without an account. It uses local browser storage to save preferences and cached prices, and connects to api.crypto-tab.com to retrieve market prices. The extension contains no advertising or analytics and does not read your browsing history.

Price requests identify the selected asset and chart period. The API also receives your IP address and standard connection information, and its infrastructure may retain technical logs. Read the privacy policy for details.

Add Crypto Tab to Firefox

Crypto Tab opens automatically after you install it. If Firefox asks whether to keep the New Tab page change, confirm it to continue. Choose your cryptocurrency and adjust the appearance in Customize.
