TextGeek copies text you can see but can't select. Click the button or press Alt+Shift+O, drag a box over a screenshot, a photo, a paused or playing video or a scanned PDF, and the words are read and copied, ready to paste. A small panel shows what was found so you can fix a word and copy it again. You can also right-click any picture and choose Copy text from image.
Everything happens on your computer. The OCR engine and the English language data are built into TextGeek, so pictures and text are never uploaded, and the extension makes no network requests of its own. It only looks at a tab when you ask it to.
