SummaryBILI

SummaryBILI brings AI-powered video summaries directly to Bilibili web pages. It adds an AI Summary button beside the native video actions, so you can understand subtitle-supported videos without leaving the page.

When you start a summary, SummaryBILI retrieves the current video's subtitles and clearly shows the subtitle download and AI processing stages. You can choose a short, medium, or long summary. If the selected AI provider supports streaming responses, the result appears progressively; otherwise, a loading indicator is shown while the summary is generated. Generated summaries are rendered with basic Markdown formatting, and any model reasoning enclosed in tags is collapsed by default.

SummaryBILI also provides:

- Support for standard Bilibili video pages and videos opened from Watch Later.
- A disabled AI Summary button with an explanation when subtitles are unavailable.
- Copy and re-summarize actions in the summary panel.
- Locally stored summary history with search, detailed Markdown rendering, copying, deletion, and links back to the original videos.
- Configurable summary length and multiple AI provider presets.
- Custom OpenAI-compatible Base URL, API key, and model settings.
- A connection test for checking the configured AI endpoint before summarizing.

SummaryBILI is a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) extension. It does not include a paid AI service or a developer-operated summary server. Your API settings are stored locally in your browser. Subtitle text and basic video metadata are sent only when you explicitly request a summary, and only to the AI endpoint you configure. Summary history remains in your local browser. The extension does not include advertising, analytics, or browsing-history tracking.

Requirements and limitations:

- The Bilibili video must provide accessible subtitles.
- You must configure a working OpenAI-compatible endpoint, API key, and model.
- AI availability, output quality, usage limits, and fees depend on your selected provider.
