SubYoutube is a Manifest V3 extension for Microsoft Edge that extracts the transcript from the YouTube caption track currently selected by the user and collects up to 500 comments, including expanded replies. It keeps transcripts and comments in separate sections so they can be copied independently, creates ready-to-use prompts for summarizing videos or comments with AI tools, and exports readable SRT subtitle files with short cues, up to two lines per cue, and non-overlapping timestamps. Results are processed in the browser, saved locally for convenience, automatically removed after 24 hours, and limited to the 10 most recent videos. SubYoutube does not automatically send content to a SubYoutube server or an external AI provider.
