Secure Passwords is a zero-knowledge password manager. Your vault is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your master password (Argon2id and AES-256-GCM). Our servers only ever store ciphertext, so we can't read your passwords, and neither can anyone who breaches us.

The extension puts your vault in the toolbar and fills in your passwords for you:

• Autofill with a click: click the Secure Passwords icon in a sign-in form. Only passwords saved for that site are offered, and look-alike domains get nothing. Autofill responds only to your own click, so a web page's scripts can't trigger it.
• Matches at a glance: the toolbar icon shows how many saved passwords match the site you're on.
• "Save password?": when you sign in with a new password, Secure Passwords offers to save it, or to update the one you have. Nothing is saved until you click Save, and you can tell it never to save on a site.
• Password generator: 6 to 32 characters, your choice of character sets, and a live strength rating from Very weak to Very strong.
• Password health: a security score with prioritized recommendations for your account, this browser and your saved passwords, including weak, reused, old and breached passwords. Breach checks use k-anonymity: only the first 5 characters of a password's SHA-1 hash leave your device.
• Sharing: share a password with another Secure Passwords user, end-to-end encrypted. You're warned if their key ever changes, and you can stop sharing at any time.
• Passkeys: save passkeys and sign in with them on sites that support them.
• Authenticator codes (2FA): add a site's authenticator by scanning the QR code on the page or pasting the setup key, then fill or copy the current code.
• Two-factor sign-in: if your account uses two-factor authentication, sign in with an authenticator app or a hardware security key.
• Folders, secure notes with encrypted file attachments, and a trash you can restore from.
• Extra protection: an item set to "Require master password to view" in the web vault asks for your master password again before it's shown, copied or filled.
• Copied passwords and codes are cleared from the clipboard after 60 seconds, revealed passwords hide again after 30 seconds, and the vault locks itself after the period you choose.

A free Secure Passwords account is required. Create one in the extension or at https://app.securepasswords.com. The extension and the Secure Passwords web vault share the same vault.

Agent Access (optional, Premium plan): AI agents you authorize in the web vault can sign in to a site for you through this browser. The agent never receives the password: Secure Passwords fills it in here and notifies you by name each time. You can turn this off in Settings.
