JSON Workbench — Large JSON & JSONL Viewer EN

Edge's built-in JSON viewer renders the entire document, so a 100,000-element array stalls the tab. JSON Workbench only builds the rows you can actually see, which is why a 100 MB file scrolls the same as a 100-line one.

WHAT IT DOES
- Virtualized tree: expand, collapse, search and copy paths in files that normally crash the tab
- JSONL and NDJSON: counts records instead of failing with "Unexpected token {" on line 2
- Path query: type $.orders[0].customer.name and press Enter to jump straight there
- CSV export: nested objects become dotted columns instead of [object Object]
- Excel-safe CSV: a UTF-8 BOM is added only when your data actually needs one
- TypeScript export: turn a sample response into interfaces
- Search across every key and value, not just the visible rows
- Light and dark theme
- Drag and drop, file picker, or paste. Also pulls JSON straight off the page you are on.

- Data exports you want to scan before opening Excel
- Anyone who would rather not upload a customer's data to a web-based JSON formatter

Everything runs locally. No server, no account, no analytics, no network requests. Your files never leave the machine.

LIMITS, SO YOU KNOW BEFORE INSTALLING
- Free tier: files up to 20 MB, CSV export up to 5,000 rows
- Pro unlocks 200 MB files and unlimited CSV rows
- Memory use is roughly the file size; a 200 MB file needs about 1 GB of heap
- Chrome / Edge 109 or newer, Manifest V3. Firefox is not supported yet.

One honest note: for a quick look at a small file, `jq . file.json` in a terminal is faster than any GUI. JSON Workbench is for when you need to browse, search, compare and export large files, repeatedly.
