Translates web pages bilingually. The translation appears below the original text instead of replacing it, so you can always check the source.
Nothing runs until you ask. No content scripts injected, no overlays, no background tracking before you trigger it. Translation starts when you click the toolbar icon or press the shortcut, and stops when you toggle it off.
Bring your own provider. The extension calls OpenAI-compatible endpoints (any provider speaking the OpenAI API), Google Translate, or Microsoft Translator using credentials you configure. There is no third-party proxy in between.
Works on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, including iOS Safari and Android Kiwi/Edge/Firefox. Source code is open on GitHub.
What it does not do: floating translate buttons, hover popups, in-place text replacement, dictionary lookup, input box translation, document translation, video subtitles. The scope is kept narrow on purpose.
