Easy Bookmark Sync keeps your bookmarks in sync across multiple computers (Chrome/Edge/Firefox) — through your own Google Drive, with no third-party server involved.

This extension has a single purpose: keeping a user's browser bookmarks
in sync across their own computers, using their own Google Drive as the
storage location.

The user connects their own Google account through their own Google Cloud
OAuth credentials. The extension then reads and writes a small set of
files it creates itself in that Drive account - never anything else the
user already has there - to move bookmark data between computers. Two
sync strategies are offered toward this same purpose: a one-directional
mode where one computer's bookmarks are copied to others, and a two-way
mode where bookmark changes on any connected computer are reflected on
the rest. Manual and automatic backup snapshots exist solely to protect
against data loss during this same syncing process.

Every permission requested - reading/writing bookmarks, local extension
storage, Google sign-in, and Drive access scoped only to files the
extension itself creates - exists to support this one function: bookmark
synchronization. The extension does not browse, track, advertise, or
perform any function unrelated to syncing bookmarks.

Privacy
Because each person who installs this extension connects their own Google Cloud OAuth credentials, the developer never receives, stores, or has access to anyone's bookmark data or Google account access. Everything stays between you and your own Google Drive.
