dm hands your downloads to the free dm desktop app, which downloads them faster and more reliably than the browser alone. The extension catches the download; the app does the downloading.
What it does
* Catches downloads as you click them and sends them to dm, so they download over several connections at once and can be paused and resumed — even after a restart.
* "Download video" button over video players: pick the quality you want and dm saves it.
* Right-click any link, video or selection and choose "Download link with dm", "Download all links" or "Download selected links".
* Clicked .torrent and magnet links go straight to dm.
* From the toolbar button you can switch catching on or off, or let dm take every download from the site you are on.
* Hold Alt while clicking to leave a download to Edge, or Shift to send it to dm.

* Several connections per download, resume after a failure or restart, retries
* A download queue, a scheduler and a speed limit
* Downloads sorted into folders by kind
* Sign-ins, proxies, checksums, video and audio from player pages, torrents
