CopyLens helps you extract text from visible content on webpages, document previews, PDF previews, image-based pages, screenshots, and other on-screen materials.

With CopyLens, you can capture the current visible page, select an area from the captured image, run local OCR in your browser, and copy the recognized text from the result panel. It is useful for study, research, paper reading, note-taking, and organizing reference materials.

Common use cases include:

* Extracting text from online document previews
* Recognizing text from image-based PDFs or scanned materials
* Copying text from screenshots, images, slides, or canvas-rendered content
* Reading and organizing text from academic or reference pages

CopyLens only works with content that is already visible on the user’s screen. It does not bypass logins, paywalls, DRM, CAPTCHA, or access restrictions.

OCR runs locally in the browser. CopyLens does not upload screenshots, webpage content, or recognized text to any external server.

Some browser-protected pages, such as extension management pages or browser settings pages, may not support screenshot recognition.
