Draw a box over any part of a web page and copy exactly what is inside it, with its structure intact. Tables paste into Excel as rows and columns, lists stay lists, and one column of an article copies without the column next to it. Works in Chrome and Edge, free.
What it does
Copies tables into Excel, Word, Google Sheets and Docs with their rows, columns and headers, including part of a table.
Recognizes tables built without table markup: stat panels, key/value lists, spec sheets and the div-based grids used by most web apps and admin portals.
Copies only what is inside the box, word by word, so you can take one column of a multi-column page.
Works on pages that block normal text selection.
Copies the hidden text of closed sections and accordions, and the full text of cut-off cells.
Collect several areas from a page and copy them together in order.
Copy as an image, including long areas that need scrolling.
Also copies as plain text, Markdown, CSV, or just the link URLs, or saves the selection as a file (HTML, CSV, Markdown, text or image).
History: every copy is kept in all formats on your device, so you can paste it differently later.
How to use it
1. Press Ctrl+Shift+X (or Alt+S), or click the toolbar button.
2. Drag a box over what you want. Each part that will be copied is outlined.
3. Press Enter or Copy, then paste anywhere.
Drag again to add more areas, then Copy all. The up and down arrows grow the selection to the surrounding element or go back. Shift+Enter copies as an image.
Privacy
Plucky only reads a page when you start it on that page. It has no access to your other tabs or sites, sends nothing anywhere, and has no analytics or ads. Your settings sync with your browser account; the history of what you copied stays on this device and can be cleared or turned off at any time.
