Apex Download Manager EN

Apex Download Manager is a free, native download manager for Windows. This extension connects your browser to the Apex desktop app, which splits each file across up to 32 connections, resumes interrupted transfers from the exact byte they stopped at, and can verify checksums before you run what you downloaded.

What the extension does:

AUTOMATIC CAPTURE. When you start a download, the extension hands it to the Apex app. You approve the download in Apex, choose where it goes, and Apex fetches it at full speed.

RIGHT-CLICK DOWNLOADS. Right-click any link, image, video, or audio file and choose "Download with Apex" to send it straight to the app.

LOGIN-PROTECTED DOWNLOADS. For the file being downloaded, the extension forwards that URL's cookies and referring page to the app on your machine, so downloads behind sign-ins work exactly as they would in the browser.

SAFE FALLBACK. If the Apex app is not running, is unreachable, or declines a download, the extension restarts that download in the browser. Nothing is ever lost.

SIMPLE PAIRING. Click "Pair with Apex app" in the extension popup and approve the prompt in Apex. The extension talks only to the Apex application on your own computer (127.0.0.1), secured by that pairing token.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN. No tracking, no analytics, no accounts. The extension reads no page content and sends nothing off your machine.
